Every night at exactly 2:17 AM, my phone would light up.
No name. No number. Just a blank notification.
At first, I ignored it. I thought it was a glitch. But it kept happening. Same time. Every single night.
On the third night, I finally opened it.
It was a message.
“STOP LOOKING.”
My heart started racing. I hadn’t told anyone about the strange notifications. No one even knew I noticed them.
The next night, I stayed awake. Watching the clock.
2:16…
2:17.
My phone buzzed again.
This time, the message was different.
“I SEE YOU.”
I froze.
I slowly turned my head toward the window… and that’s when I noticed something that made my blood run cold.
My curtains were slightly open.
And outside, in the darkness…
There was someone standing there.
Not moving. Not blinking. Just watching.
I grabbed my phone to call the police—but before I could dial, another message came in.
“TOO LATE.”
The lights in my room suddenly went out.
And the figure outside…
Was gone.
The next morning, I checked my phone.
No messages. No notifications. Nothing.
Like it never happened.
But when I walked to the window…
There were muddy footprints.
Leading from outside…
Right up to my door.
